Photogram

 

Photogram in the making as a limited edition for the expo at Tique Art Space, 4 October.
The image comes from a serie based on the imaginary mobile by using my archive.
I started to make the imaginary mobile out of necessity because I can undo the limitations of gravity. by working on photographic paper and focusing on the shapes of objects I reach things that are impossible to carry out. The results are graphic registrations of a (in my mind) very logical structure of forms.

The exact rock is a moving target.

There’s no way you can create a chemistry where none exists.

How many lines can one stone handle before losing the idea that this is a stone?

A study in how I can create an image of a stone based on the existing lines by creating new lines. How far can l go? Are there conventions that control how lines arise and that determine what a real stone is?

Because i have faith in you

I‘m investigating this beautiful stone. Try to get a handle on the form and be confident. Only then I can make the right interventions.

Everything is sculpture. Any material, any idea without hindrance born into space, I consider sculpture. (Isamu Noguchi)

A very small piece of a flower creates a whole univers.

 

This little piece of the Hoya Linearis is the heart of the flower and reminds me of how I drew as a child a shooting star. 

 I’d like to dedicate this work to my grandfather.

Fallen in love with this remarkable stone with a smiling face and a big head. 
Found this beauty last summer when I was walking along the coastline. Now the time was right to do something with the massive head.

oscillogram

Making an oscillogram of an empty and dried fruit bunch of a palm tree. Organized according to the waveforms. Making a photogram on Linagraph paper, it’s a paper that was designed for an oscillopraph. In my mind this is the only photographic paper where i can show the movement of the seeds.
